Sr Firmware Engineer

As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and automating test suites, validating host interfaces, and driving system-level and feature-level testing. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our products meet industry standards and customer expectations. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of next-generation optical telecom solutions. NILightpath Must-have skills BE/BTECH in Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience in validating optical telecom products. Strong domain expertise in validating Coherent Optics, Transponders, and standards: OTN (G.709), Ethernet (100G/400G/800G), CMIS. Proven experience in testing carrier-grade embedded systems in cross-functional and Agile environments. Hands-on experience with optical test equipment, including traffic testers, OSA, Optical Analyzer, Power Meter, VOA, Optical Switch, and BER testers. Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in pytest-based automation frameworks preferred. Experience with test automation, Git, CI/CD integration, defect tracking, and test management tools. Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with geographically distributed teams. Self-driven, quality-focused, and adaptable to fast-paced product environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Nice-to-have skills Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in pytest-based automation frameworks preferred.
