We are seeking a highly motivated Firmware Validation Engineer to play a key role in validating firmware software for next-generation optical coherent pluggable transceivers . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing validation strategies, building automated test frameworks, executing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring firmware quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge coherent optical technologies used in high-speed data center interconnects, metro networks, and long-haul transport systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, optical systems, DSP, and product engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. BS/MS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in validation of optical telecom products. Strong domain expertise in validation of Coherent Optics, Transponders, and standards: OTN (G.709), Ethernet (100G/400G/800G), CMIS and. Proven experience testing carrier-grade embedded systems in cross-functional and Agile environments. Hands-on experience with optical test equipment: Traffic testers,OSA, Optical Analyzer, Power Meter, VOA, Optical Switch, BER testers. Strong Python proficiency: experience with pytest-based automation frameworks preferred. Experience with test automation, Git, CI/CD integration, defect tracking, and test management tools. Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams. Self-driven, quality-focused, and effective in fast-paced product environments.
