The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced technology leader to serve as a Specialist ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) within our Healthcare and Life Sciences Basic qualifications: - 8+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience - 7+ years of solving complex business problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences or Manufacturing/Supply Chain industry experience - 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, IoT/IIoT, and/or Edge Computing experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering (industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or mechanical), supply chain management, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or equivalent quantitative field - 7+ years of experience driving professional services business development, opportunity shaping, or technical pre-sales for manufacturing data platforms, supply chain AI/ML, IIoT, or digital transformation programs in pharma/biotech/life sciences Preferred: - Master's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing systems, data science, statistics, business analytics, economics, or computer science, or experience with AWS Solutions, including IoT SiteWise, IoT TwinMaker, IoT Greengrass - Significant experience in shaping large, complex AI and data transformation programs in pharma/biotech Supply Chain & Manufacturing — from ideation and prospecting, through scoping and solution architecture development, to sales closure — with specific exposure to use cases e.g., IIoT data platform builds, digital twins for manufacturing process optimization, CMC orchestration, autonomous quality systems, predictive maintenance, or agentic supply chain planning - Deep understanding of AWS services relevant to SC&MFG workloads — e.g., IoT SiteWise, IoT TwinMaker, IoT Greengrass, Bedrock, AgentCore, SageMaker, AWS Supply Chain, Step Functions - Deep knowledge and familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to pharma manufacturing and supply chain (e.g., cGMP, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, FDA/EMA manufacturing regulations, EU Annex 11, DSCSA/serialization) as well as industry data standards (e.g., ISA-95, OPC-UA, BatchML, EPCIS) - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex SC&MFG data architecture concepts — from shop-floor edge computing to enterprise supply chain intelligence — for both operational leaders and C-suite executives as part of pre-sales motion - Deep familiarity with SC&MFG technology ecosystems and vendors (e.g., Siemens Opcenter/MindSphere, Rockwell Plex/FactoryTalk, SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing/IBP, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Körber, OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, Databricks for Manufacturing) and how AWS complements them Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
