Junior UI UX Designer

We provide access to international investment opportunities across US stocks and ETFs, global funds, managed portfolios, private markets and more. Since 2019, we have worked to simplify global investing and help Indian investors build more diversified portfolios. We are a fast-moving team that enjoys solving complex financial problems and turning them into simple, trustworthy product experiences. **About the role** As a Junior UI/UX Designer at Vested, you will work on clearly scoped product problems across our mobile and web platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, content and business teams to understand user needs, explore solutions and ship intuitive experiences. You will be expected to bring strong visual and interaction-design skills while gradually developing deeper ownership of research, product thinking and outcome measurement. You will receive guidance and feedback from senior members of the design team while taking responsibility for the quality of your work from early exploration through implementation **What you will do** * Understand product requirements, user needs and business constraints. * Create user journeys, flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes. * Design polished, accessible interfaces for iOS, Android, web and responsive web. * Support user research, and run usability tests and competitor analysis with guidance. * Work closely with product managers and engineers to define and refine solutions. * Use Vested’s design system consistently and suggest new components or improvements. * Prepare clear specifications and support engineers during implementation. * Review implemented experiences and help resolve usability or visual-quality issues. * Learn from customer feedback and product data to improve what you’ve shipped. * Use AI-assisted tools where useful to accelerate exploration, prototyping and documentation. **What we're looking for** * 1–2 years of experience designing digital products, preferably in a B2C product environment. * A portfolio demonstrating your process, problem-solving, interaction design and visual craft. * Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, variables and prototyping. * Working knowledge of user flows, information architecture and usability principles. * Familiarity with mobile-platform conventions, responsive design and accessibility fundamentals. * Ability to explain your decisions, discuss trade-offs and incorporate feedback. * Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers to ship production work. * A user-first mindset balanced with an understanding of business and technical constraints. * A strong hunger to learn: you pick up new tools quickly and act on feedback. * Hands-on use of AI tools in your design workflow. **Qualities we look for** * Experience with fintech, investing or other data-rich products. * Experience contributing to a design system. * Familiarity with analytics, usability-testing or research tools. * Experience creating high-fidelity coded or AI-assisted prototypes. * Illustration, motion-design or visual-storytelling skills. **How you work** * You care about both usability and craft. * You ask questions instead of designing from assumptions. * You are comfortable sharing unfinished work and seeking feedback. * You take ownership of details and follow through until the experience is shipped. * You can organise your work and communicate risks or blockers early.
