Sr. Applied R&D Engineer

As an NI IP TEC Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor, responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of supported products and representing them confidently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with various teams, including R&D, Product Management, and Customer Account Teams, to ensure the successful implementation and performance of our products. Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting complex issues and providing innovative solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience in a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively drive customer calls and provide clear technical explanations. Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in troubleshooting software or network problems, demonstrating a systematic approach to problem-solving. Working knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols, IP/MPLS protocols, L2/L3 EVPNs, and Spine/Leaf data center architecture, ensuring a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. Certifications such as SRC, CCNA/CCNP, and/or JNCIA/JNCIS are preferred, showcasing a commitment to professional development and expertise. Prior experience with Nokia products (e.g., 7750SR, 7250 IXR, VSR, SRLINUX, FSS/EDA) is an asset, providing a head start in understanding our product portfolio. Experience with a scripting language, such as XML or Python, is advantageous, enabling efficient automation and customization of solutions. Familiarity with Cloud solutions (Linux, KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes) is desirable, as it aligns with the company's focus on cloud-based technologies. Previous Nokia intern or co-op experience is a plus, offering valuable insights into our company culture and processes.
