Senior Engineer – Rock Mechanics As a Senior Engineer – Rock Mechanics , you will be part of the Switzerland GCC Tunnel Team in WSP India, based in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering or Geology, with postgraduate qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering or Rock Mechanics. Experience related to embodied carbon reduction in design would be highly regarded. The role will support a diverse portfolio of underground infrastructure, mining, and geo-energy projects in Switzerland and internationally. You will work alongside specialists within WSP’s global ground engineering network, delivering technically challenging projects across multiple sectors. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline. Masters Preferred. Minimum 8 years of professional experience in rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering, or tunnel engineering. Experience in geotechnical investigations and rock mass characterisation. Proficiency in numerical modelling software, including FLAC2D/3D, DIPS, 3DEC, PLAXIS 2D/3D, and Rocscience Suite . Strong technical report writing and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams. BGV: Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
