Senior Consultant - Quality Assurance

WSP is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Lead to establish and lead practical QA practices for our Digital Environment development team. This hands-on role will define quality strategy, improve delivery processes, guide testing activities, and promote shared ownership of quality across the software development lifecycle. The team delivers data management, software development, and web-based weather information services for internal and external clients using cloud technologies and Agile delivery practices. • 7+ years of software QA experience, including senior, lead, or equivalent responsibilities. • Experience defining and improving QA processes, standards, governance, measures, and team practices. • Experience leading or mentoring QA professionals; formal supervisory experience is an asset. • Strong knowledge of testing methods, risk-based testing, defect management, root-cause analysis, and quality engineering. • Hands-on test automation experience using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks. • Experience testing web applications, APIs, integrations, data-processing workflows, and CI/CD quality controls. • Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication, and skills. Preferred Skills & Experience • Experience with cloud services, especially Amazon Web Services, and 24/7 operational systems. • Experience with performance, reliability, accessibility, security, mobile, or usability testing. • Experience testing data-intensive, geospatial, environmental, weather, or other operationally critical systems.
