Principal Engineer - Substation

This role is to work as part of an engineering team, taking a senior role in project work, focused on production and liaison with the WSP UK Team and mentoring and coaching junior members of the team. Raise the level of technical competence within the teams Promote technical excellence in all our projects Develop positive professional relationship with the WSP UK Team, communicating openly about project progress Participate in team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes Identify and flag additional fees to the Associate/Principal Engineer of Structures Mandatory Skills Experienced Civil & Structural Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the Energy & Distributions sector, preferably in AIS & GIS types of substations . Experience in handling projects independently, including liaising between disciplines and clients . Preferable experience in international codes such as American, Euro codes, etc. Conversant in software such as Tekla, Robot, and STAAD . Experience in BIM 360 environment . A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project is essential Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology Qualifications B.Tech / M.Tech (Strcutures) BGV: Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
