Senior Project Manager-Planning and Delivery

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager-Planning and Delivery based in Canada . The Senior Project Manager-Planning and Delivery will operationalize delivery across a complex, multi-workstream program, ensuring activities, releases, and dependencies move forward in a coordinated way. You will translate program needs into reliable delivery systems covering planning cadences, status reporting, RAID management, dependency tracking, and delivery tooling. The role requires a practical understanding of how work progresses from initial planning and baselining through execution and completion. Working closely with program and release leadership, you will identify risks early, maintain an accurate view of program health, and ensure plans reflect current delivery realities. You will also lead a small team of analysts responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of delivery management activities. This is an environment where processes and standards may still be evolving, offering the opportunity to build effective systems and introduce structure in an ambiguous setting. The position combines hands-on program delivery, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and continuous improvement across concurrent releases and workstreams. Accountabilities:: Support replanning for active releases when scope, timelines, or resourcing change, while leading initial planning for new releases and ensuring they are appropriately structured and baselined before execution. Design and operationalize the delivery infrastructure required to run the program consistently, including status reporting, RAID management, dependency tracking, and Azure DevOps (ADO) tooling. Own weekly status reporting processes, synthesizing information from releases and workstreams into accurate, concise, leadership-ready reporting packs. Maintain active risk, issue, assumption, and decision management, ensuring clear ownership, appropriate escalation, and timely resolution rather than passive tracking. Manage dependencies across concurrent releases and workstreams, anticipating blockers and working with Release PMs and workstream leads to resolve constraints. Oversee ADO environment configuration, including boards, workflows, dashboards, and other tooling needed to reflect the program structure and maintain reliable delivery data. Lead a small team of analysts by establishing quality expectations, supporting development, and overseeing day-to-day execution. Engage Release PMs and workstream leads as a delivery partner, helping teams address constraints and maintain delivery momentum. Build and improve processes in an early-stage program environment where standards, systems, and operating practices are still being established. Requirements Proven experience delivering or managing delivery within a complex, multi-workstream program, with accountability for outcomes rather than reporting alone. Hands-on experience with release or workstream planning from initiation, including baselining scope, sequencing activities, and establishing delivery structures before execution. Strong experience with active RAID management, including assigning and driving ownership, escalating appropriately, and resolving issues. Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) at a configuration level, including the ability to support boards, workflows, dashboards, and delivery tooling. Demonstrated ability to manage dependencies across concurrent releases and identify interdependencies and constraints early. Experience leading a small team, including setting quality standards and developing junior analysts or coordinators. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI or equivalent reporting and analytics tools. Experience using or developing fluency with AI-assisted tools to improve reporting, generate insights, and reduce manual effort in delivery workflows. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in an environment of ambiguity and evolving processes. Ability to obtain or maintain Reliability-level security clearance. Benefits Fully remote work model. Contract engagement from October 1 through April 30, 2027. Compensation of CAD $85–$115 per hour.
