PR Manager, AWS Canada

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a creative, high-judgment, and highly proactive PR Manager to join our Canada Communications team. In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategies Basic qualifications: - 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, high-tech products/services - Experience in media relations and issues management - Excellent written and oral communication skills Preferred: - Deep understanding of the Canadian media landscape and trends, including technology - Excellent media relations skills and a current network of media contacts - Strong bias for action and experience with end-to-end ownership of major projects and deliverables - Experience advising senior executives on communications strategies, issues, and preparing spokespeople for media engagements - Ability to communicate complex topics effectively and persuasively across different audiences and channels - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Highly collaborative and skilled at building relationships with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams - Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines - Experience managing external agencies - Proficiency or desire to upskill in AI Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
