Treasury Operations — Payment Oversight Associate

About this role Treasury Operations plays a critical role in supporting the controlled execution of payment activity across the private markets platform. The team is responsible for safeguarding client assets, maintaining a robust operational control environment and ensuring payment obligations are fulfilled accurately, timely and in accordance with regulatory, fund and investor requirements. Working closely with Liquidity Management, Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Tax, Business Integrity and regional operations teams, the function enables scalable growth while maintaining strong governance and risk management standards. As the private markets business continues to expand, the team serves as a key partner in delivering operational excellence, supporting business growth and maintaining the trust of clients and stakeholders. Your Role and Impact As a Treasury Payments Associate within Treasury Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing payment-related activity across a broad range of private markets transactions. You will help protect client outcomes by ensuring payments are reviewed, validated, evidenced and completed in line with established controls and operating standards. This role requires strong operational judgment, stakeholder management capabilities and a disciplined risk mindset. In addition to managing day-to-day oversight activities, you will support process improvements, contribute to governance initiatives and provide guidance to junior team members to drive consistent operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Oversee and review payment activity across multiple payment types, ensuring all validation checks, supporting documentation, approvals, beneficiary verification, account details, value dates and control requirements are completed accurately and on time. Manage operational exceptions, control breaks and escalations while partnering with Liquidity Management, Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Tax, Business Integrity and regional operations teams to drive resolution, accountability and service delivery. Review and support fund approval documentation, liquidity management activities, tax settlements, governance requests and audit requirements, maintaining complete and audit-ready evidence. Produce and enhance management information, key performance indicator and service-level reporting while identifying automation, standardisation and operating model improvement opportunities that support scalability and transparency. Maintain operating procedures and provide day-to-day leadership, workflow coordination, coaching, quality review and prioritisation support to junior team members, promoting accountability and consistent execution. Your Experience Experience in Treasury Operations, payments, fund operations or a similar financial services control environment, including review or approval of payment instructions across multiple payment types, currencies, banking platforms and regions. Demonstrable experience in people management Strong understanding of operational risk, control execution, exception management, audit evidence standards and relevant accounting, banking and workflow processes. Private markets, private equity, fund administration or alternatives experience is desirable. Strong spreadsheet and data analysis capabilities, including experience working with large datasets, reconciliation activities and reporting analysis. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, coach and support team members while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and influencing priorities across functions and regions. Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
