Sr. BPA Manager - DD&IT Projects

Job Description Summary About the role: The Manager / Sr. BPA is the Finance SPOC for assigned IT Functions and manages IT Project Portfolios of the allotted function. This role provides decision making analysis for a large and complex organization and programs on global and/or multi-country level. This role leads complex business planning and analysis processes, including but not limited to: Supports IT organization with demand preparation (financial analysis), reviews and provides transparency on investments, governs the project portfolio, provides stakeholder updates, supports month-end closing, management reporting, budget and latest estimates and forecasting. Job Description Key Requirements: Business Partnering: Works in close collaboration with IT and Business for financial assessment, evaluation, and execution/tracking of Investments/Projects. Partners effectively on different dimensions of IT projects governance and plays a pivotal role to drive the proces. Follows up and ensures issues are addressed and ensures adherence to internal guidelines Provides insights / in-depth analyses on investments and its benefits and operational cost implications. Pro-actively manages Financial Risks & Opportunities across the portfolio Providing cost transparency and ensuring good understanding of key cost drivers. Improve processes and drive innovation Planning (StratPlan, Budget, Latest Forecast) & Reporting: Leads the planning process from StratPlan to Budget for Projects. Drives and achieves stretched organization targets. Leads timely, accurate and meaningful financial management reporting on project cost. Challenges business requirements and validate with equivalent benchmarks Accounting & Compliance: Ensures accounting practices are in line with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM). Applies standard accounting concepts and techniques and takes responsibility for specific functional reporting set up in FCRS. Identifies root cause of problems and recommends controls or processes for improvement Leadership: Takes the lead for the area of responsibility to achieve desired results. Provides support and guidance to other team members. Support in preparation / review of large complex global projects. Trains and develops the team to a recognized and value adding function within the organization. Essential Requirements: Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable 12+ years of financial experience in various areas (Controlling/Business Planning & Analysis, FRA, Treasury) Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization Previous experience in Budgeting, controlling and reporting Global/Multi-function project and change management experience and w orking experience of SAP Desirable Requirements: Good Excel and PPT skills Strong Communication, Facilitation and interpersonal skills Strong Customer Service experience Demonstrated ability to work with international colleagues Excellent people skills Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills Skills Desired Critical Thinking, Data Visualization, Employee Engagement, Insight Generation, Managing Ambiguity, Market Understanding, Process Optimization
