Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance

Role Purpose As Senior Engineer - Quality Assurance at Accelya, you will lead quality assurance for Accelya's airline software platform, defining test strategies, implementing advanced automation frameworks and mentoring QA engineers to drive continuous quality improvement. Duties & Responsibilities • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering all testing disciplines for complex airline software features • Lead the design and development of advanced test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, API, performance testing) • Implement AI-powered testing capabilities (Testim AI, Mabl, Applitools) that improve test coverage, stability and efficiency • Lead defect management, performing deep root cause analysis and working with engineering on systemic quality improvements • Embed quality practices throughout the SDLC, championing shift-left testing and quality engineering culture • Mentor junior QA engineers and build test automation capability across the team • Report on quality metrics, test coverage and automation ROI to engineering leadership Required Experience & Skills • 5–7 years of QA experience with advanced automation and test strategy expertise • Expert test automation skills across multiple frameworks and testing types • Experience with AI-powered testing tools and performance/security testing • Proven mentoring and test strategy leadership capability • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related; ISTQB Advanced or Expert preferred Preferred Experience & Skills • Strong experience with AI-powered QA platforms for intelligent test generation, self-healing automation and AI-driven defect prediction • Expert use of generative AI (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for test strategy documentation, automation framework design and quality reports • Deep knowledge of quality practices for airline software — including safety-critical testing, regulatory compliance and performance testing for high-volume airline transaction systems • Understanding of how AI is transforming QA — including autonomous testing, AI-managed test suites and the evolving role of QA engineers in AI-augmented delivery What do we offer? • An open culture with a creative and challenging opportunity to satisfy your intellectual needs • Flexible working hours • Smart working: a hybrid remote/office working environment • Work-life balance • An excellent, dynamic and multicultural environment to work in About Accelya Accelya is a leading global software provider to the airline industry, powering over 200 airlines with an open, modular software platform.
