About the role The Android Developer will design and build the next generation of mobile applications that demonstrate superb technical competency to deliver mission critical applications whilst ensuring the highest levels of performance. The Ideal Candidate will be someone: who has excellent organizational and communication skills. who will initiate effective collaborations. who is result-oriented with a technical and analytical mindset. who has a passion for building, owning and operating scalable systems. About You You write reusable, testable and efficient code. You design and build advanced applications for the Android. You have a deep understanding of building and shipping complex product experiences on frequently updated business critical Android apps. Your expertise with the Android SDK helps you create scalable, dynamic, extensible and highly performant UI components. You work with outside data sources and API’s. You work on bug fixing and improving application performance. You continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. You are a strong communicator who enjoys working closely with others while being comfortable with independently delivering large business outcomes. Essential Requirements B. Tech. / B.E. / MCA / MSc / MS in computer science, engineering or relevant field with at least 5 to 7 years of experience in building apps for the Android platform. Experience/ understanding of agile/scrum based development methodologies. Experience with Java, Kotlin and knowledge of Android design patterns. Exp in CI/CD & Testing Automation & third party SDK integration. Good understanding of Optimization, security & performance. What makes you a great fit? Good understanding of Android application architecture and design. Good understanding of memory management, network interaction, concurrency and multi-threading in Android. Understanding of complete application development, continuous integration, testing and app distribution infrastructure. Working knowledge of the general mobile portrait, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. Working experience using Web Services and API’s built on SOAP or REST and using XML or JSON. Working knowledge on securing data channels using various mechanisms (basic authentication, OAuth 2.0, etc.). Experience with databases like SQLite ,ORMs like Realm, Persistent and analytics SDKs like Google Analytics, MixPanel, Localytics, Firebase, AWS Mobile SDK. Experience with video player implementations like ExoPlayer, JWPlayer. Understanding of software quality assurance principles. Why Hoichoi ?
