Academic Marketing Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities Academic Ecosystem Strategy & Surgeon Pipeline Development​​​​​​ Develop long-term academic marketing strategies to strengthen Intuitive’s leadership in robotic surgical education across Korea. Build structured surgeon development pathways from resident/fellow to Early Practice Surgeon and advanced robotic surgeon. Identify future growth opportunities through surgeon pipeline analysis, specialty trends,and academic ecosystem mapping. Support strategic alignment between academic initiatives and ISK commercial priorities. Academic Hospital Partnership & Capability Building Partner with Tier 1(A) academic hospitals and regional training hospitals to establish scalable robotic surgery academic programs. Support hospitals in developing internal robotic surgery education systems, faculty engagement models, and learning infrastructures. Collaborate with hospital leadership to strengthen institutional commitment toward robotic training ecosystem development. Facilitate open-access and collaborative learning opportunities for emerging robotic surgeons. Surgical Society & long term Credentialing Engagement Build strategic collaboration with surgical societies & academic to support robotic surgery education and credentialing initiatives. Support development of standardized learning pathways, training frameworks, and educational recognition programs in collaboration with societies. Monitor healthcare policy and reimbursement trends related to robotic surgery training and credentialing environments. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between academic strategy and clinical/commercial objectives. Residency / Fellowship / Early practice surgeon Program Development Develop differentiated academic initiatives targeting residents, fellows, and Early Practice Surgeons. Support transition pathways from formal training programs into independent robotic surgical practice. Collaborate with customer training team to enhance training readiness, surgeon confi dence, and procedural adoption. Support development of future robotic surgery educators and emerging KOLs. Lead Educator & Faculty Development Identify and support development of hospital-based robotic surgery lead educators and B. Facilitate Train-the-Trainer (TTT) initiatives and scalable faculty engagement models. Strengthen peer-to-peer learning ecosystems through academic collaboration and faculty networking. Academic Program Execution & Ecosystem Integration Lead planning and execution of academic programs, workshops, symposiums, educational collaborations, and ecosystem initiatives. Integrate digital learning, Training equivalency platforms, and data-driven educational tools into academic marketing strategies. Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical Education, Sales, Compliance, and Global/Regional teams to maximize program effectiveness and alignment. Core Competencies & Skills Strong understanding of academic hospital dynamics and healthcare ecosystem decision-making structures. Capability to influence multiple stakeholders including hospital executives, surgical faculty, and society leaders. Strategic thinking with ability to balance academic value creation, market development, and business impact. Passion for developing next-generation robotic surgeons and advancing surgical education ecosystems. Qualifications & Experience 7+ Years of relevant experience in healthcare industry (medical device experience preferred). Experience working with academic hospitals, residency/fellowship programs, or surgical societies strongly preferred. Understanding of Korea healthcare policy environment and robotic surgery market dynamics preferred. Experience in healthcare ecosystem development, medical education, or strategic stakeholder engagement is highly desirable. Proven track record in commercials roles in healthcare industry with a good understanding of healthcare/HCP compliance. Familiarity with the robotic surgery ecosystem and/or SP platform is a plu Ability to leverage digital platforms, data insights, and scalable learning models to enhance academic engagement and training effectiveness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools (Zoom, Smartsheet), and data analysis platforms.
