Software Development Engineer

Primary Function Intuitive is building a new AI-powered platform to support how our teams work day to day — combining a modern web application, cloud-native backend services, and generative AI to make information easier to find, questions easier to answer, and repetitive work easier to automate. We're looking for a mid-level full-stack engineer who can take ownership of features end-to-end, contribute to architectural decisions with guidance, and collaborate closely with business teams to ship real, production-grade software. You're past the basics and ready to take on meaningful scope — while still growing into senior-level independence. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain both the frontend and backend of a new internal platform, from feature development through production Build and maintain integrations between the platform and its underlying cloud and AI infrastructure Partner with business teams to translate day-to-day workflows into working software, with some guidance from senior engineers Implement secure authentication, access control, and data governance appropriate for sensitive business data Contribute to and follow engineering best practices — testing, CI/CD, deployment, and observability Iterate on features based on real usage and feedback, balancing speed with reliability #LI-Hybrid Skill/Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with hands-on exposure to both frontend and backend systems Solid Python skills; experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python web framework Solid React + TypeScript experience — shipped features in a production environment Familiarity with LLM/AI API integrations — agentic or tool-calling patterns are a plus Experience with a major cloud provider (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP considered) — comfortable deploying and managing cloud resources Strong foundational knowledge of SQL query writing with a proven ability to understand and optimize database performance. Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication flows Ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders to clarify and shape requirements Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments Intuitive is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
