(Technical) Senior Patent Specialist – Cellular Standards

You will be part of a large, global team of world-class technical patent specialists managing Nokia’s leading portfolio of 5G and 6G standard-essential patents. You will work closely with inventors and 3GPP standards delegates to identify and protect high-value 5G and 6G inventions, from ideation through claim charting. You will also collaborate with patent associates to create high-quality patents and broaden your expertise beyond technology into patent prosecution. By combining your technical expertise with close collaboration across patent prosecution and monetization activities, you will contribute significant value to the development of our world-class patent portfolio. You will take technical ownership of a specific technology domain within cellular standards inventions and patents, with substantial business impact. A PhD in telecommunications or a related field. Solid professional experience in either cellular standards patenting or cellular standards research; candidates with a research background should also demonstrate a strong track record of inventions and patents. Deep expertise in 5G and/or 6G systems, particularly in 3GPP physical-layer design or radio protocols. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines. It would be an advantage if you also had: Familiarity with AI tools used in patenting and/or cellular standards research.
