Senior Consultant - Legal

The candidate will provide operational and legal support to the Asia legal division of a global engineering professional services company, with a primary focus on reviewing and negotiating construction industry contracts. The candidate must be organised, display excellent written/communication skills and have the ability to apply independent judgment. Should have a law degree and 6+ years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably working with multinational construction industry companies. Qualified lawyer with 6+ years legal experience developed by working in a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal team specialising in construction law. Proficient in English (oral and written). Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements. Highly developed communication skills. Ability to act commercially and to appropriately balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk. Ability to work as a member of a team and bring to the team initiative, energy and enthusiasm. Ability to work independently and report to manager as required. Exposure to Asia clients desirable.
