Manufacturing Engr Mgmt 2

The Engineering Technician Manager is responsible for building, leading, and managing a 24x7 Engineering Technician organization supporting InP Photonic Integrated Circuit wafer fab manufacturing, process development, engineering experiments, equipment qualifications, and production operations. This role will establish a new technician team to support Fab2 qualification and Fab1 volume ramp-up, ensuring the timely execution of engineering and manufacturing priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with Process, Equipment, Production Operation, Integration and Yield teams to coordinate resources, prioritize activities, develop technical capabilities, and drive operational excellence. This leader will provide both technical guidance and people management to build a highly skilled, flexible, and performance-driven support organization. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related science or engineering discipline. Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication, supporting manufacturing, process development, and engineering operations. Minimum 3 years of experience managing technical, engineering, or manufacturing support teams in a 24x7 manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, technician development, performance management, and shift-based operations. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple engineering and manufacturing functions in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of SPC, DOE, process qualification, yield improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
