IP SME and Integration Engineer

This position exists to augment the project delivery teams’ design and/or integration engineering delivery capability and ensure Nokia meets its customer delivery commitments to current and next-generation IP & Optics Transmission technologies through a professional, courteous, and committed approach. As a Design & Planning Specialist at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network infrastructure by designing, analyzing, and optimizing network that enhance customer communication capabilities. Your expertise will directly contribute to capacity planning, feasibility studies, and innovative routing solutions, ensuring efficient network performance. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help deploy robust end-to-end solutions that align with Nokia’s mission to drive technological advancement and improve user experiences globally, ultimately supporting our commitment to delivering cutting-edge telecommunications solutions. As part of the Customer Engineering team, you will participate in project activities to support the IP professional services delivery to Nokia’s customer base, and you will have in-depth knowledge of the Nokia IP products and technologies. Your potential key interfaces will be Customers, Project Managers, Technical Project Managers, and Product Line Managers to deliver projects. Due to the nature of this role and associated security clearance requirements, applicants must be Australian citizens and either hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Baseline or NV1 security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with 8-10 years of experience in the telecom industry, dealing with IP technologies. Have detailed knowledge of the Nokia IP Routing portfolio and solutions. Excellent in designing networking solutions for Critical Infrastructure customers. This includes Rail, Mining, Power and ANSP’s Have a demonstrated knowledge IP/MPLS Networks, Segment Routing, Mobile Backhaul, L2/L3 VPN Solutions, Virtualization, Data Center solutions, Telco Cloud fabrics. Knowledgeable in Network Management Systems, networking concepts and related technologies. Network Management Systems, such as Nokia NSP/NFM-P or other vendor NMS solution Nokia SRA / SRC track training and experience desirable Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent Certification are a plus. Technologies/Products: Nokia IP Router portfolio - 7x50 SR/IXR, 7705 SAR and 7210 SAS portfolio Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP) VMWare ESXi, vCloud/vCenter, OpenStack, RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Java, Python/Perl etc. Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc. To meet the security requirements associated with this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain the required Australian Government security clearance.
