The role encompasses data assessment, schema design, ETL development, Flyway‑based deployment, performance tuning and production cut‑over, working closely with mainframe SMEs, cloud engineers and DevOps teams. 8+ years of DBA experience with mainframe data migration projects. Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 for z/OS, VSAM (KSDS, ESDS, RRDS), GDGs and JCL. Proficiency in DB2 LUW, SQL development, data modeling and performance tuning. Hands‑on experience with AWS RDS DB2 LUW, Amazon S3, AWS DMS, Glue and DataSync. Expertise in Flyway, database schema versioning and CI/CD integration. Demonstrated ability to develop ETL processes and perform data conversion (EBCDIC‑to‑ASCII, packed decimal). Experience with migration tools such as Informatica, Talend, Precisely or Syncsort. Background in banking, financial services or insurance domains is preferred. Familiarity with Rocket Enterprise Server environments and cloud‑replatforming initiatives.
