Database Administrator (DBA) (6847)

As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will work as part of an agile scrum team supporting a suite of web applications for a federal government customer.

What you’ll do: 

• Work as a Database administrator as part of an agile scrum team supporting a suite of web applications for a federal government customer.
• Attend all agile ceremonies.
• Complete user stories within defined due dates as part of two-week sprints.
• Assist with optimizing database infrastructure and performance.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 3+ years of total work experience in database development.
• Experience with Oracle databases in Amazon RDS instances and are proficient in SQL.
• Experience with writing new and modifying existing stored procedures/scripts/triggers.
• Experience writing batch jobs and the ability to write and query from complex databases.
• Experience collaborating with development teams to optimize query performance and troubleshoot any related issues.
• Experience with admin capabilities such as creating users/roles and database instances locally and in higher environments.
• Knowledge of IT security and data base management best practices.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS systems.
• Proficiency in writing, tuning and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Knowledge of SQL Development tool(s) SQL Developer, TOAD, etc.
• Excellent Statistical, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to quickly transition and reassess priorities to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• The ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability (which requires US Citizenship).

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $120,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

• The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
• The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
• Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
• This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
• Performance-based bonuses
• Company-paid training and/or certifications
• Referral bonuses
