Senior Software Engineer

Accountabilities:: Design, build, deploy, and continuously improve complex software products and systems. Take end-to-end ownership of features, applications, and technical systems from initial design through production and ongoing optimization. Develop full-stack solutions using modern web technologies, with a strong focus on backend systems and services. Build and scale high-throughput distributed systems in cloud environments. Design and evolve scalable relational database architectures, data models, and data-intensive applications. Implement and maintain modern cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code solutions. Identify and address potential security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability risks as systems evolve. Contribute to architectural decisions as user adoption, data volumes, and transaction loads increase. Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate ambiguous business and technical problems into effective solutions. Improve engineering productivity through better tooling, processes, architecture, and development practices. Contribute to system health through monitoring, resilience, maintainability, and operational improvements. Support products and workflows that may incorporate AI, experimentation, model evaluation, or data-driven capabilities. Requirements: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. Strong full-stack development background, with substantial experience working on backend systems. Recent, hands-on experience building complex products and systems using TypeScript. Experience working in high-growth technology companies, startups, or similarly fast-paced product environments. Proven ability to take ownership of features or systems across design, development, deployment, and ongoing improvement. Experience building and scaling high-throughput distributed systems in cloud environments. Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and scalable database design. Experience with modern cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code. Ability to identify and proactively address security, reliability, scalability, and architectural risks. Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguous technical and product challenges. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with product and engineering teams. Demonstrated progression toward broader technical ownership, increasingly complex problems, or greater influence within an organization. Experience launching products, features, platforms, tools, or technical systems from early concepts through production is highly valuable. Experience with FinTech, payments, marketplaces, or other transaction-heavy environments is a plus. Experience scaling complex relational data models and databases is a plus. Exposure to AI-enabled products, experimentation, model evaluation, or data-driven workflows is beneficial. Demonstrated technical curiosity through open-source contributions, GitHub activity, personal projects, or other hands-on development is valued.
