Senior Manager, Communications & Community Engagement

Accountabilities:: Develop and execute integrated employee communication strategies aligned with business objectives, organizational priorities, culture, and corporate communications strategy. Partner with senior leaders and functional teams to create timely, relevant, and engaging communications for employees. Manage communications across email, intranet, digital platforms, employee meetings, town halls, videos, newsletters, presentations, and other channels. Develop executive communications, including talking points, leadership messages, presentations, town hall materials, and employee announcements. Translate complex business information into concise, accessible, and compelling messages for diverse employee audiences. Support communications surrounding organizational change, business transformation, culture, employee engagement, and major company initiatives. Establish communication plans covering audiences, messaging, channels, timelines, and key deliverables for high-priority initiatives. Monitor employee feedback and engagement trends and use insights to inform communications strategies. Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with corporate citizenship and community investment priorities. Partner with business leaders, employees, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to identify meaningful engagement opportunities. Lead communications supporting employee volunteerism, charitable giving, community initiatives, and corporate social responsibility programs. Coordinate community events, volunteer activities, and engagement campaigns while increasing employee participation. Develop compelling employee and community stories for internal and external communications and ensure consistency with brand, voice, and tone standards. Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance on messaging, timing, audiences, and delivery. Manage multiple communications and engagement projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and deadlines. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. 10–12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, community engagement, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience developing and executing employee communication strategies. Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling abilities. Proven experience working directly with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, and execution skills. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within complex, matrixed organizations and across multiple functions and audiences. Experience developing communications for diverse audiences and across multiple communication channels. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business priorities into effective communications programs. Preferred: experience in a global or large corporate environment. Preferred: experience supporting organizational change and employee engagement initiatives. Preferred: experience with community relations, corporate social responsibility, employee volunteerism, or charitable giving programs. Preferred: experience developing executive communications and advising senior leaders. Preferred: experience with intranets, employee apps, digital communications platforms, or collaboration tools. Preferred: experience using employee engagement data, surveys, analytics, or other measurement tools to inform communications strategy. Communications agency experience is a plus. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build trusted relationships across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.
