SAP SuccessFactors Implementation Project Manager - (SuccessFactors PM Experience REQUIRED)

Accountabilities: Project Leadership and Accountability: Take ownership of all aspects of assigned SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, delivery, and closure. Direct project activities to meet agreed client expectations, contractual commitments, quality standards, schedules, and financial objectives. SAP SuccessFactors Implementation Management: Lead full-suite SAP SuccessFactors implementations, including Employee Central Payroll (ECP) projects. Coordinate implementation activities, manage dependencies, and ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and technical expectations. Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, kickoff presentations, schedules, forecasts, resource plans, and delivery handoffs. Maintain project documentation, conduct internal project reviews, prepare progress reports, and oversee the final review and approval of deliverables. Budget, Financial, and Resource Management: Monitor project costs against approved budgets, track progress against schedules, and prepare cost-to-complete forecasts. Coordinate dedicated and shared resources across teams and business units, optimize resource utilization, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Risk, Scope, and Change Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and delivery roadblocks. Manage project scope, change requests, stage-gate approvals, and documentation requirements, ensuring that requirements, workbooks, testing results, and other deliverables receive the necessary approvals. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary client contact for project schedules, budgets, scope, progress, and delivery concerns. Build trusted relationships with project stakeholders, lead client communications, manage escalations and negotiations, and maintain transparent reporting to clients, senior management, and internal teams. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and support project managers and implementation teams to promote successful project delivery. Coordinate team activities, maintain a positive working environment, provide coaching and guidance, and encourage accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional development. Operational Excellence and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project execution, systems, documentation, governance, and service delivery. Establish effective processes that improve quality, cost efficiency, consistency, and overall project performance. Business Growth and Strategic Partnerships: Support client relationship management, customer satisfaction, and the development of referenceable client partnerships. Identify opportunities for additional services, expanded project scope, and ongoing support. Contribute to proposals and provide estimates for project support activities while maintaining effective relationships with internal leadership, external partners, and relevant SAP stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, technical specialists, customers, and internal teams to align priorities, resolve challenges, and deliver business outcomes. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to other initiatives as needed. Requirements Project Management Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience, including defining scope and budgets, developing project plans, managing resources, resolving issues, and reporting project status. Demonstrated experience managing multiple technical projects concurrently is essential. Required SAP SuccessFactors Experience: Proven experience managing full-suite SAP SuccessFactors implementations is mandatory. Candidates must have direct project management experience with SuccessFactors implementations, rather than general project management experience alone. Employee Central Payroll (ECP): Experience managing SAP Employee Central Payroll implementations is required, including coordinating project activities, resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Project Management Tools: Experience using project planning and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms. Resource and Financial Management Tools: Familiarity with resource planning and financial management systems such as Oracle and Salesforce, including project forecasting, cost tracking, and resource allocation. SAP HCM and Payroll Knowledge: Experience configuring, implementing, or supporting one or more SAP HCM, payroll, or SuccessFactors modules is an advantage. The ability to elicit and document business requirements and an understanding of technical data processing procedures, policies, and best practices are also beneficial. Preferred SAP Implementation Experience: Experience implementing Employee Central for organizations that retain SAP ECC Payroll is preferred. Familiarity with migrations from ECC Payroll to Employee Central Payroll is also advantageous. Technology and Industry Awareness: Willingness to stay current with SAP and SuccessFactors HCM technologies, HR systems, evolving HR policies and practices, and emerging business requirements. Leadership and Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, mentor project managers, share knowledge with clients, and coordinate dedicated and shared resources across multiple teams and organizational functions. Client Management and Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently with clients, project teams, senior management, and external partners. Experience managing escalations, negotiations, and challenging stakeholder relationships is important. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A detail-oriented, results-driven approach, with the initiative to identify problems, overcome roadblocks, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions in fast-paced environments. Organization and Multitasking: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Independent and Collaborative Working Style: Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external organizations, soliciting feedback, and adapting to changing project requirements. Operational and Business Acumen: Experience or familiarity with PMO operations, team management, quality control, account management, sales support, or service delivery is beneficial, particularly in environments requiring oversight of multiple projects and teams. Work Authorization and Background Screening: Must be a United States citizen and able to pass required background checks and obtain public trust clearance when required for an assignment. Travel and Work Environment: This is a fully remote position within the United States, with the ability to travel up to 25% as needed. The role requires extended computer use, typing, virtual communication, and the ability to review documents and data on computer monitors.
