Professional Services Network Expert

Accountabilities: Provide architectural, design, implementation, and migration consulting for complex service provider and enterprise network environments. Partner with customers, project managers, sales teams, and systems engineers to scope, plan, and deliver professional services engagements. Assess customer networks for performance, scalability, security, and reliability, and recommend improvements to configurations and network topologies. Lead technical delivery for major network deployments and migrations, including high-level and low-level design, migration planning, product integration, testing, acceptance, and operational handover. Participate in requirements-gathering workshops and technical discussions with customer design, testing, and engineering teams. Support new network deployments, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and reproduce customer environments or network problems in laboratory settings. Coordinate larger delivery teams and take ownership of overall network implementation activities across assigned projects. Track and report issues identified during testing, implementation, and migration, ensuring appropriate resolution and escalation. Provide knowledge-transfer workshops and technical training to customers and partners. Build strong working relationships with customer technical teams and management while supporting customers across different time zones. Contribute to best practices for network design, implementation, migration planning, validation, and verification. Collaborate with internal technical teams on product placement and feature improvements focused on reliability, availability, and serviceability. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Significant experience in technical consulting, network design, implementation, migration, and customer-facing delivery, preferably within the telecommunications or service provider sector. Strong experience supporting large-scale service provider networks and mobile backhaul solutions. Deep hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, IPsec, traffic engineering, IGP, BGP, and Internet peering or exchanges. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6. Practical understanding of service provider environments, with enterprise and data-center networking knowledge considered an advantage. Hands-on experience with Linux servers and network services such as DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, and NTP. Strong consulting, planning, problem-solving, and project-management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple customer engagements effectively. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders. Experience working with Juniper networking equipment is an advantage. Advanced service provider technology knowledge, including NG-MVPN, CGNAT/BNG, and Segment Routing, is preferred. Scripting experience with Perl, Python, Unix, or similar technologies is an advantage. Relevant certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
