Accountabilities:: Design, code, develop, test, and implement backend systems and software solutions using Node.js. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and scalable microservices-based architectures. Participate in requirements definition and contribute technical perspectives to solution design. Work with AWS cloud services and distributed architectures, leveraging services such as ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway, and Lambda. Develop solutions based on object-oriented and event-driven programming principles. Work with event streaming and messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, MQ Series, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ. Implement and maintain data persistence solutions across SQL and NoSQL databases. Apply software engineering principles and best practices, including SOLID, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, DDD, and automated testing. Contribute to unit, integration, end-to-end, and other relevant testing practices to ensure application reliability. Implement and support observability practices involving logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and monitoring. Identify opportunities to improve development processes, technical solutions, system reliability, and engineering practices. Collaborate with other developers and technical teams, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of continuous learning. Requirements Strong professional experience developing backend applications with Node.js. Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs. Solid understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture. Professional experience working with AWS Cloud, particularly services such as ECS, EKS, EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway, and Lambda. Knowledge of object-oriented programming and event-driven architectures. Experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ. Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL persistence technologies. Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows. Knowledge of observability practices, including logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and monitoring. Understanding of software quality practices and collaboration with QA teams. Strong knowledge of coding standards and engineering principles, including SOLID, Clean Code, Clean Architecture, DDD, and unit testing. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is desirable. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is a plus. Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitHub Actions, is desirable. Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP is a plus. Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, Koa.js, Fastify, or Hapi.js is desirable. Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2. Experience with GraphQL and serverless application development is a plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills. Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to collaborative engineering teams.
