Partner Engineer

Accountabilities: Own the technical relationship for a portfolio of approximately 20–30 strategic EMEA partners, serving as a senior technical point of contact for solution architects and engineering leaders. Develop and execute partner technical enablement strategies, including training programs, certification paths, sandbox environments, technical talks, workshops, and office hours. Contribute to the development and evolution of partner certification programs in collaboration with internal Academy and Enablement teams. Review partner-built accelerators, integrations, and marketplace applications, assessing architecture, performance, quality, and alignment with technical best practices. Provide clear, credible technical feedback to partners and help them continuously improve their solutions. Support partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities by collaborating with account teams on technical discovery, architecture reviews, demonstrations, and proofs of concept. Guide partners in designing reference architectures and integrations across commerce, digital asset management, search, personalization, customer data platforms, and emerging technologies. Provide technical guidance on GDPR, data residency, and EU hosting requirements to help partners design solutions aligned with European data protection considerations. Build trusted, long-term relationships with external technical stakeholders and help partners develop the confidence to lead technical conversations independently. Gather feedback from partners and field teams on products, documentation, training, AI tooling, MCP, competitive positioning, and developer experience. Translate partner feedback into actionable insights for internal Product and Developer Experience teams. Build prototypes and technical demonstrations when needed to validate solutions and accelerate partner conversations. Travel periodically, up to approximately 25%, to partner locations, customer sites, and industry events. Requirements 5–8 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture within SaaS or PaaS environments, ideally involving CMS, DXP, commerce, MACH, or composable technologies. Strong hands-on experience with headless and composable architectures, including APIs, server-side/static-site rendering frameworks such as Next.js and Nuxt, and modern frontend delivery patterns. Comfortable building working prototypes when required, even if production coding is not part of your everyday responsibilities. Experience using AI-assisted coding and development tools to accelerate prototyping and technical problem solving. Familiarity with modern digital experience platforms and the ability to develop deep expertise across at least two relevant areas, such as hosting and delivery, CMS, DXP, CDP and personalization, or AI agents. Proven experience working within partner or channel ecosystems, with the ability to enable partners to independently lead technical conversations rather than consistently owning those conversations yourself. Demonstrated success building and managing senior technical relationships with external organizations. Strong presentation, communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills for technical audiences. Working knowledge of agentic AI concepts and patterns, including MCP, with practical experience integrating generative AI into applications. Working knowledge of GDPR, data residency, and EU hosting considerations in the context of digital experience platforms. Ability to communicate effectively between external technical partner teams and internal Product and Engineering stakeholders. Business fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language is a strong advantage. Experience with CMS or DXP technologies and vendors, or with systems integrators and agencies implementing them, is beneficial. Familiarity with commerce platforms, search technologies, personalization tools, or related digital experience technologies is a plus. Understanding of partner-program mechanisms such as deal registration, PRM systems, co-sell tooling, and certification tiers is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple partner relationships and initiatives simultaneously. Comfortable working autonomously in a distributed, collaborative environment. Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% for partner meetings, customer engagements, and industry events.
