Finance Operations Lead

Accountabilities: Own the full draw-management cycle across active development projects and multiple lenders, ensuring requests are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Prepare and compile draw packages, including cost certifications, inspection reports, title updates, lien waivers, and other supporting documentation. Coordinate with lenders, inspectors, title companies, contractors, project managers, and development teams to secure timely draw approvals and funding. Maintain a master draw schedule across the portfolio and proactively identify delays, documentation gaps, funding risks, and budget variances. Review closing documents, title commitments, settlement statements, HUDs, and related materials to identify discrepancies or potential funding risks. Serve as the primary operational contact for lenders, managing day-to-day communication, information requests, conditions, and draw requirements. Maintain compliance with loan covenants, reporting obligations, draw conditions, and lender requirements. Own the insurance lifecycle across projects and entities, including builder's risk, general liability, title, and other required coverage. Obtain and evaluate insurance quotes, coordinate coverage binding, monitor premium payments, and maintain an accurate insurance register. Track policy renewals and ensure all coverage remains current and compliant with lender requirements. Monitor interest accruals and debt-service schedules across construction and development loans, reconciling lender statements against internal records. Partner with finance teams to incorporate interest payments and project financing costs into cashflow forecasts and project projections. Produce weekly and monthly reporting covering draw status, upcoming payments, projected funding requirements, and capital needs. Work with senior leadership on forward-looking cashflow planning, identify potential funding pinch points, and coordinate solutions before issues escalate. Requirements 4–7 years of experience in real estate development finance, construction lending, or a closely related financial operations role. Strong understanding of construction loan mechanics, including draw procedures, lender requirements, inspection processes, documentation, and loan covenants. Experience managing insurance schedules and coordinating with brokers and lenders to maintain coverage compliance. Strong financial literacy, including the ability to interpret loan agreements, reconcile interest statements, and develop or maintain cashflow models. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace, including the ability to build reliable financial trackers, schedules, and reporting tools. Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, lenders, documentation requirements, and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to manage lender relationships and coordinate across finance, development, legal, and operations teams. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to identify potential problems early and follow issues through to resolution. Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information while determining priorities and maintaining financial accuracy. Prior experience with a real estate developer, private equity real estate firm, or construction lender is advantageous. Familiarity with common lender draw platforms is a plus. Exposure to multi-lender or syndicated loan structures is beneficial. Experience building or managing company-level cashflow models is preferred. Availability to join immediately or within 30 days.
