Establish a single-source content framework that supports industry-specific and audience-specific customization, multilingual localization, and publishing across eLearning platforms, digital formats, and print materials. Translate the product roadmap into a structured production plan, prioritizing content development and updates against committed release dates while identifying capacity constraints and delivery risks early. Partner with training product teams, product management, and program managers to manage project intake, define scope, establish production readiness, and coordinate release timelines. Collaborate with software product teams to align LCMS capabilities, authoring tools, and platform requirements with content production needs. Establish and enforce intake and specification requirements, ensuring that projects entering production are sufficiently defined, complete, and ready for execution. Work with program management to implement agile production methodologies, monitor cycle times and rework, and continuously improve delivery speed and operational efficiency. Embed instructional quality, brand consistency, accessibility, and compliance standards directly into authoring workflows rather than relying solely on final-stage reviews. Own production capacity planning, demand forecasting, resource allocation, and cost-per-output metrics, including the provision of production capacity to Custom Solutions at a defined internal rate. Manage third-party production partners, overseeing deliverables, scope, service levels, performance, and unit economics. Establish foundational content models, templates, standards, and workflows during the first year while developing the team's ability to manage and scale these capabilities independently. Drive continuous improvement across content operations while maintaining clear accountability for delivery quality, cost, and timelines. Perform additional responsibilities related to the position as required. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and managing a structured or component-based content model that supports content reuse, customization, and scalable publishing. Hands-on experience with production Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) or Component Content Management Systems (CCMS), including partnering with vendors on platform implementation. Proven leadership in production or delivery operations within content development, digital learning, media, agency, or professional services environments. Experience managing external vendors and production partners, setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and ensuring commitments are met. Strong capabilities in production capacity planning, demand forecasting, resource allocation, and operational cost management in environments with fluctuating workloads. Ability to establish clear production-readiness criteria and confidently decline or return incomplete requests, including those submitted by senior stakeholders. Strong strategic judgment, with the ability to establish a robust foundational content architecture while making iterative improvements to processes and workflows over time. Ability to communicate technical and architectural decisions to executive stakeholders in terms of cost, delivery schedules, operational impact, and business risk. Working knowledge of SCORM standards, WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility requirements, and multi-output publishing workflows covering print, PDF, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on operational execution. A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to build scalable processes, develop talent, and drive change across cross-functional teams. Preferred qualifications: Experience designing content architectures that support localization at the structural level, rather than relying solely on translation during production. Demonstrated success establishing a new content operations capability, production function, or scalable publishing framework from the ground up. Experience with Xyleme or a comparable XML-based authoring and content management environment. Background in training, certification, compliance-driven, or regulated-content environments.
