Associate General Counsel, Product

Accountabilities:: Advise product and research teams throughout the product lifecycle, providing practical and commercially focused legal guidance with an emphasis on regulatory compliance and strategic transactions. Lead regulatory compliance activities related to the manufacture, distribution, and sale of technology products in the United States and international markets. Draft, negotiate, and execute complex technology transactions, including strategic partnerships, licensing agreements, joint development arrangements, and supply and manufacturing agreements. Develop the processes, playbooks, and legal infrastructure needed to establish and scale a dedicated product legal function. Partner closely with product, research, engineering, finance, privacy, compliance, trade, and other cross-functional teams, as well as external counsel. Translate complex legal requirements into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders while incorporating product, engineering, and business priorities into legal strategy. Identify opportunities to improve legal efficiency and effectiveness through technology, including the practical use and development of AI-enabled tools. Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, or eligibility for in-house or registered counsel status in the relevant state. 8+ years of relevant legal experience gained at a leading law firm and/or within an in-house legal department. Significant experience advising on regulatory compliance associated with the manufacture, distribution, and sale of technology products in the U.S. and internationally. Demonstrated experience drafting, negotiating, and executing sophisticated technology transactions that directly support business or product strategy. Ability to work across both regulatory and transactional matters, with the flexibility and curiosity to develop expertise beyond a primary practice area. Strong judgment and comfort navigating novel legal questions, ambiguity, and emerging technologies where established legal frameworks may still be developing. Strong communication skills and the ability to turn complex legal concepts into practical guidance for technical and business stakeholders. A collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on creating leverage, improving efficiency, and helping teams move complex initiatives forward. Experience within a mature U.S. technology company is preferred. Experience supporting hardware products or hardware-focused businesses is preferred. Experience with post-acquisition integration of products, technologies, or businesses is a plus. Proficiency in multiple languages is an advantage.
