Analyst , Corporate Action Entitlement

Accountabilities:: Execute day-to-day corporate action and entitlement processes, service requests, transactions, and queries in accordance with documented procedures and established service level agreements. Review, check, and reconcile operational information and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing. Support pre- and post-settlement operational activities and specialized asset servicing processes, with particular attention to corporate actions and income events. Gather, organize, and format data for regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and operational analysis. Analyze operational data and issues to identify discrepancies, determine appropriate next steps, and provide insights or recommendations. Investigate and resolve operational exceptions and client issues promptly, escalating more complex matters when required. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve business and service-delivery objectives. Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders while ensuring operational activities comply with relevant policies, controls, regulatory requirements, and risk standards. Support change management initiatives, including the implementation of new processes and systems and improvements to existing operational workflows. Contribute to the development of operational tools, training materials, and process documentation designed to improve business results and service quality. Serve as a problem-solving resource for more junior colleagues and assist with escalated activities when needed. Apply sound risk judgment when executing operational responsibilities, protecting assets and maintaining compliance with applicable policies, laws, regulations, and risk requirements. Requirements Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience, with a post-secondary degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fresh graduates and recent post-secondary graduates with a strong interest in financial operations, corporate actions, or investment services are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of corporate actions, particularly income events, is required. Exposure to reconciliation processes and/or accounting principles is considered an asset. Good knowledge of relevant operational systems, technology, products, services, processes, controls, risk requirements, and regulatory considerations. Good proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate actions. Good organization and prioritization skills, with careful attention to accuracy, completeness, deadlines, and service levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Customer-service orientation and confidence handling inquiries, operational issues, and escalations. Ability to work effectively within established policies and procedures while managing diverse and sometimes complex operational tasks. Willingness to learn specialized financial operations processes and contribute to continuous improvement and change initiatives. Benefits Salary range of $40,500–$80,000 CAD .
