Advisory Associate

Accountabilities: Build the analysis supporting client workstreams, including market sizing, competitor assessments, buyer research, and operating or financial models. Conduct primary research by developing interview guides and survey instruments, interviewing buyers and industry experts, and translating conversations into actionable findings. Analyze platform and client data, validate findings against external sources, and identify situations where standard market assumptions may not apply. Develop clear, accurate, and auditable Excel models that can support client decision-making and withstand detailed review. Create concise PowerPoint presentations that communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to senior and executive audiences. Draft initial versions of analytical sections with a clear perspective and interpretation rather than simply presenting raw data. Take ownership of quality control by validating calculations, documenting sources, checking assumptions, and proactively highlighting uncertainties or gaps. Support client engagements through preparation of pre-reads, meeting materials, notes, follow-ups, and other activities required to keep projects moving. Contribute across multiple engagement types and progressively take ownership of larger analytical modules with increasing independence. Develop a strong understanding of relevant markets, business models, technologies, and regulatory developments across identity, fraud, financial crime, and cybersecurity. Requirements 1–3 years of experience in management or strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, corporate strategy, market intelligence, or a comparable analytical role. Demonstrated ability to structure unfamiliar or ambiguous business problems, break them into manageable questions, and develop a rigorous approach to answering them. Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret information and form evidence-based conclusions. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint , with comfortable use of Google Workspace and related productivity tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and concisely. Comfortable interacting with senior professionals and conducting interviews with executives, buyers, and industry experts. Practical experience using AI tools in professional work, combined with sound judgment about their strengths, limitations, and potential for inaccurate or misleading outputs. Genuine interest in identity, fraud, financial crime, cybersecurity, and the regulatory environment surrounding these areas. Ability to work effectively in a remote, internationally distributed team and collaborate across different locations and time zones. Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, maintain high-quality standards, and proactively raise questions or concerns.
