• The Manage Dashboard: The definitive front door for developers and enterprise administrators worldwide. It is the control center where our customers configure critical identity policies, manage complex organizations, and monitor active threat intelligence.
• The Auth0 Marketplace: Our rapidly expanding extensibility ecosystem. The Marketplace allows customers to seamlessly discover and install third-party integrations - such as security monitoring, consent management, and database connectors - to dynamically customize their identity pipeline.

The Role

As a Staff Engineer on this team, you will not just write code; you will own the technical strategy, architect highly resilient frameworks, design developer-friendly APIs, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers. Your architectural ownership will span the entire stack - from the React-based frontend down through our Node.js/Go services, robust operational pipelines, and PostgreSQL databases.

What You Will Do:

• Product Ownership: Lead the technical lifecycle of your team’s products, ensuring they are robust, secure, and performant from the frontend to the infrastructure layer.
• Full-Stack Execution: Bridge the gap between UI and Backend by designing clean APIs, efficient data flows, and scalable service architectures.
• Architecture & Design: Create and document technical designs for team initiatives, ensuring they account for scale, reliability, and regional constraints.
• Operational Health: Ensure your team’s services meet strict performance and security standards (SLAs/SLOs), including observability, rate-limiting, and SEO.
• Mentorship: Elevate the technical bar of your team through code reviews, design feedback, and hands-on guidance.

Key Qualifications:

Technical Execution (Full Stack):

• 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in JavaScript/Node.js/Go and React/Next.js.
• Experience in designing, building, and operating distributed systems in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Backend - 

• Service Design: Strong proficiency in designing and building scalable services using Node.js (mandatory) or Go.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Kubernetes: Deep, hands-on experience deploying, scaling, and operating backend services on AWS, with strong proficiency in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Data, Caching & Pipelines: Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), distributed caching (Redis), and data/deployment pipelines.
• Performance & Scale: Experience using quantitative analysis (latency, traffic volume) to justify your design and technology choices.
• Strong production systems experience, including monitoring, debugging, and incident response.

Frontend -

• Hands-on experience with modern React & MobX/Redux
• Build tools: Strong experience with frontend build tools, module bundlers, package managers
• Web Performance: Understanding of core web vitals, page speed and performance optimization.
• End-to-End Systems Knowledge: A clear understanding of how web traffic moves from the browser through CDNs, Load Balancers, and API Gateways to the backend.

Delivery & Quality:

• Backend Excellence: Designing highly reliable backend architectures and implementing robust, automated delivery pipelines.
• Operational Mindset: Familiarity with the "Product-Ops" side of engineering - including security best practices , telemetry, alerting, and monitoring.
• Clear Communication: Ability to articulate technical trade-offs and visualize system flows for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves:

• Experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
• Knowledge of security engineering principles and application security best practices.
