Retail Operational Food Safety Manager, Food Safety Operations Team

The North American Food Safety Team ensures that all Amazon Fulfillment sites meet Food Safety criteria and regulatory requirements. They collaborate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to implement Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field - 5+ years of managing food safety and quality in a large-scale retail or manufacturing environment experience - Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements - Experience in program or project management - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Experience interacting with local food safety regulators - Travel up to 80% of the time - Experience applying Food Code requirements across local, state, and federal food regulations Preferred: - Experience in online retail operations or similar field - Experience creating and implementing large-scale programs - Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks - 5+ years of project management experience - Can show strong verbal and written communication skills - Master’s degree in Food Science or related field Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
