Energy Strategy Manager, AWS Energy Team

Amazon is seeking a self-starter to join the AWS Energy team in pioneering the future for data center utility power by developing and executing the strategy by which AWS delivers energy projects and partners Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required in Engineering/Business or other technical field - 3+ years working in utility/energy industry in a commercial/business development or technical role - 3+ years of power transaction or contracting experience in US West, performing financial models and analysis on rates and energy cost, negotiation interconnection agreements and related contracts with utilities and contractors - 2+ years managing multiple million dollar power infrastructure contracts with external stakeholders to drive projects to completion Preferred: - Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred - The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills - Experience planning, engineering, developing or constructing substations or other 34.5kV or greater energy infrastructure - Experience working directly with public utility commissions and other energy regulators - Experience with IT infrastructure, data centers and cloud services Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
