Job Summary: The Product Strategy Senior Advisor leads complex product strategy initiatives that advance Express Scripts Canada’s strategic priorities and strengthen the value of its product portfolio. The role translates market, client and business insights into clear product strategies, roadmaps, value propositions and recommendations for leadership. A key function is partnering with Product and Brand and Communications to develop accurate, compelling marketing collateral that communicates the value of ESC solutions to clients and stakeholders. Operating cross-functionally, the Senior Advisor influences without formal authority, drives alignment and supports initiatives from opportunity identification through strategy activation and outcome measurement. Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy and Portfolio Planning Develop, define and continuously refine product strategies and portfolio roadmaps, integrating enterprise priorities, market trends, client needs and operational considerations. Translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, value propositions, business requirements, milestones and measures of success. Assess product opportunities and recommend where ESC should invest, enhance, partner, commercialize or retire solutions. Prepare strategic recommendations and decision materials for senior leadership. Market, Client and Competitive Insights Lead market scans, competitive analyses and client insight reviews to identify unmet needs, emerging trends, risks and opportunities. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information into actionable insights that inform product decisions and portfolio priorities. Partner with Data and Analytics, Finance, Account Management and other teams to support evidence-based product investment decisions. Product Marketing Collateral and Value Communication Partner with Product and Brand and Communications to develop and maintain marketing collateral, including sales sheets, presentations, product overviews, value propositions, client-facing narratives and launch materials. Translate complex product capabilities into clear, accurate and compelling messaging for client, prospect and internal audiences. Ensure collateral reflects approved product strategy, current capabilities, target customer needs and ESC brand standards. Coordinate subject-matter review and approval of product content, and maintain consistency across product materials and channels. Equip Account Management and business development teams with product positioning, key messages and supporting content. Strategic Initiative Leadership Lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives from opportunity definition and business case development through roadmap establishment, stakeholder alignment and outcome realization. Coordinate internal subject-matter experts and external partners to assess solution options, dependencies, risks and implementation considerations. Support vendor evaluation and selection in partnership with Procurement, Legal, Privacy, Technology and other stakeholders, as required. Stakeholder Engagement and Governance Build alignment across Product, Operations, Clinical, Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, Account Management and Brand and Communications. Facilitate structured decision-making and drive consensus among stakeholders with competing priorities or requirements. Provide clear updates on strategy, decisions, risks, dependencies and progress to leadership and delivery teams. Mentor Product Strategy Advisors and contribute to consistent product strategy practices, tools and communication standards. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in business, health sciences, marketing or a related field; MBA considered a strong asset. 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, product strategy, strategy consulting or related discipline. Demonstrated experience developing product strategies, roadmaps, business cases, value propositions and executive recommendations. Experience developing product marketing collateral and translating complex solutions into clear client-facing messaging. Strong market research, analytical, problem-solving and strategic communication skills. Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without formal authority. Excellent written, presentation and facilitation skills, with strong attention to accuracy and brand consistency. Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, group health insurance, healthcare technology or adjudication systems is considered a strong asset.
