Director, Content Acquisition & Development -North America

Basic qualifications: - Experience negotiating complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning - Experience in the traditional book space with content with content acquisition and/or rights licensing experience across popular genres - 5+ years of publishing, audio, or entertainment industry deal negotiation experience - Experience with intellectual property rights - Verbal and written communication skills with experience translating complex concepts and ideas across the organization - Experience working across cross-functional teams Preferred: - Previous experience in the audio business, acquiring or licensing audio rights - Passionate about storytelling, the evolution of audio, and consuming audio content - Experience in project management - Skilled using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and company-wide sales and project management tools Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
