Delivery Consultant - Application Modernization, AWS Professional Services

he Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization, to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. experience - Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience - Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation - Experience using agentic coding tools (Kiro, Kiro-CLI, or similar) and GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock to accelerate modernization work, including code understanding, refactoring, test generation, and documentation - 5+ years experience of large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of: Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Go, Ruby, Swift. - 4+ years experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) - Ability to obtain Canadian federal security clearance, or valid Secret or Top Secret clearance. - Only applicable for Quebec location: fluency in French and English is required due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada. Preferred: - AWS Professional level certification - Demonstrated hands-on experience modernizing complex enterprise applications - Demonstrated hands-on experience building sophisticated cloud native applications - Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.) - AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) - Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Proven ability to lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment/release management processes Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
