What success looks like in this role: Technical IT Asset Management 📍 Canberra, ACT 🔒 Baseline Security Clearance Required Role Overview: The candidate is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, auditing, deployment, and secure disposal of equipment across regional and national locations. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate asset records and inventories. Coordinate asset deployment, transfers, and disposal. Conduct asset audits and stocktakes across multiple sites. Ensure secure sanitization and disposal of IT equipment. Prepare audit reports, disposal records, and compliance documentation. Work closely with Field Services, Project Managers, and stakeholders. Support asset management process improvements and automation initiatives. Key Requirements Experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or logistics. Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Experience coordinating audits and stocktakes. Understanding of asset compliance, security, and disposal processes. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities. Strong reporting and administrative skills. Desirable Active Baseline Australian Security Clearance (mandatory) Degree in IT or related field. Asset Management or IT industry certifications. Experience supporting enterprise or government environments. Ideal Candidate A detail-oriented IT Asset Management professional with experience in inventory control, audits, compliance, asset tracking, and stakeholder coordination, capable of managing the full lifecycle of technology assets in a structured environment. You will be successful in this role if you have: Strong understanding of asset tracking systems Experience in Australian Government or regulated environments preferred. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Familiarity with ICT hardware and software lifecycle.
