This role helps elevate Ciena's thought leadership by creating and optimizing digital content across corporate social media channels and the company blog. As part of the Digital Channels & Search team, the position contributes to content development, SEO and AI discoverability initiatives, and integrated marketing campaigns that support global and regional priorities. How you will make an impact: Write and edit blog posts for the Ciena corporate blog. Develop content for organic social media and other digital marketing assets. Maintain editorial calendars and coordinate content production schedules. Optimize content for SEO and AI-powered search using performance insights and established best practices. Monitor content performance, search visibility, and engagement metrics to identify optimization opportunities. Partner with marketing teams and subject matter experts to create customer-focused content supporting campaigns, product launches, and thought leadership initiatives. Collaborate with regional teams to develop and localize content aligned with global campaigns and regional priorities. The must haves: Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field. Ability to communicate technical concepts through writing, editing, and proofreading activities. Experience creating content for blogs, websites, social media, and other digital marketing channels. Application of SEO fundamentals and interest in AI-powered search and content optimization. Utilization of content management systems, SEO tools, or web analytics platforms. Nice to haves: Ability to work within a geographically dispersed team across a multi-functional organization. Initiative to advance projects with limited direction. Strong work ethic and commitment to achieving goals and deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to listen, learn, and positively accept feedback and mentoring. Team-oriented approach with consistent positive engagement. Pay Range: USD 65,000 to 100,000 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
