Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, supporting tax audits, monitoring tax regulatory changes, and providing tax advisory support to business stakeholders for our Malaysia entity. This role offers exposure to both local and international tax matters within a dynamic multinational environment. Prepare and review corporate income tax computations, tax returns, and supporting schedules. Coordinate tax payments and monitor tax deadlines to ensure full compliance. Prepare tax provisions and tax-related journal entries in accordance with accounting standards. Support quarterly and annual tax reporting processes. Reconcile tax accounts and resolve outstanding tax-related balance sheet items. Assist in the preparation of tax disclosures for statutory financial statements. Support deferred tax calculations and tax accounting requirements. Liaise with tax authorities, external auditors, and tax consultants on tax queries, audits, and investigations. Maintain proper tax records and supporting documentation. Support stamp duty, e-invoicing, transfer pricing compliance and related documentation requirements. Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate potential business impacts. Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies. Support tax automation and digitalization initiatives. Participate in system implementations and process enhancement projects. Job Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related discipline. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA, CTIM, or equivalent is an advantage. At least 5 years of relevant tax experience in a multinational corporation, accounting firm, or tax consulting environment.
