Job Title Senior Software Engineer – Cloud & Network Integration About your role: In this role, you will contribute to the development and support of the cloud-native Vision NEXT platform — Fiserv's next-generation, cloud-native card issuing and payment processing platform built on microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture — leveraging APIs, event-driven architectures, AWS services, and real-time authorization capabilities. You will serve as a technical resource for application development, integration, troubleshooting, and client implementations while helping provide software solutions for our LATAM partners. What you'll do Design, develop, test, and implement software applications supporting Fiserv's Vision NEXT platform. Develop and support REST and event-driven integrations — RabbitMQ, webhooks — applying retry and idempotency design patterns for reliable delivery. Develop and support integrations utilizing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Build and maintain API test automation using RestAssured, Karate, and Postman/Newman. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, connectivity, and production support issues. Work closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and reliability. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices. Support cloud-native applications deployed within AWS environments. Monitor system performance and assist with root cause analysis for application and network-related issues. Experience you'll need to have: 6+ years of experience in software development, software engineering, or related technology disciplines. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java, C#, C++, C, or similar object-oriented programming languages. Hands-on experience with REST and event-driven integrations — RabbitMQ, webhooks — and retry/idempotency design patterns. 2+ years of experience developing or supporting applications within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed application architectures. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN connectivity, firewalls, load balancing, and SSL/TLS. Experience troubleshooting application performance, connectivity, and integration issues in enterprise environments. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional experience, and/or military experience. Experience that would be great to have: Experience within financial services, payments, banking, or fintech environments. Experience with cloud-native architectures, event-driven systems, APIs, and real-time transaction processing platforms. Ability to write technical specifications a development team can build from. Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift, including networking, scaling, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with networking technologies including firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Experience supporting applications in AWS environments. Experience with monitoring and observability tools. Important information about this role: This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday.
