Location Type: This position is onsite in Ogden, UT. Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Machine Builder with strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail, particularly regarding fit, finish, and high-precision assembly. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling custom automated machinery from the ground up. This includes mechanical assembly, system integration, testing, and assisting with installation as needed. The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced engineering environment. What You’ll Bring : Proven experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, or related role in automation or machinery manufacturing is highly preferred The ability to demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on assembly skills Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on quality, alignment, and overall craftsmanship Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, CAD prints, and assembly documentation Experience with hand tools, precision measurement tools, and mechanical assemblies Familiarity with pneumatics, linear motion components, and industrial hardware Basic understanding of electrical/panel wiring or willingness to learn (a plus) Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a custom build environment High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred Former JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
