As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations across Southern Africa. Working closely with the finance team, you will help ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while contributing to the long-term success of the business. On a Typical Day You Will: Support and manage daily accounting operations across the region. Ensure compliance with local regulations, international accounting standards, and company policies. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are consistently met. Support internal and external audits and implement recommendations to strengthen financial processes. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making. Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency. Maintain General Ledger integrity and perform monthly analytical reviews. Liaise with tax authorities and auditors in preparation for tax submissions. Prepare and review account reconciliations. Manage VAT and PAYE submissions in accordance with local requirements. Soft Skills & Competencies People Engagement – Ability to contribute to and support a high-performing team environment. Collaboration – Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across departments. What You Will Need to Be Successful: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting. Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and relevant tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (such as JDE, HFM, or similar). Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
