EverCommerce - Senior Accountant

Accountabilities:: Manage and maintain the general ledger for assigned subsidiaries, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time. Own payroll and employee-related accounting activities end to end, including payroll actuals and accruals, bonuses, commissions, severance, 401(k), employee benefits, HSA/FSA, and related reconciliations. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and ensuring assigned accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines. Analyze monthly financial statements and variances against prior periods, providing concise explanations and summarizing key flux analysis for management. Prepare detailed work papers and month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and selected income statement accounts, identifying discrepancies and recommending appropriate resolutions. Collaborate with FP&A, Revenue Operations, Legal, Tax, and other cross-functional stakeholders to maintain alignment between operational activity and accounting treatment. Support intercompany, lease, debt, segment, and M&A-related accounting processes. Maintain effective internal controls across assigned general ledger areas and collaborate with Internal Audit to address identified deficiencies. Ensure compliance with applicable SOX and IPE requirements within assigned accounting processes. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline general ledger and month-end close processes, taking ownership of process improvement initiatives. Maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and quality across all assigned deliverables. Requirements: 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with prior Senior Accountant experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related accounting discipline required. Strong understanding of public-company month-end and year-end close processes. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles. Strong attention to detail, organization, diligence, and accountability for assigned work. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Ability to investigate and resolve accounting issues independently and exercise sound judgment when identifying potential solutions. Strong Excel proficiency and confidence working with financial data and reconciliations. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, work under pressure, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a SaaS general ledger accounting environment is preferred. Big Four or public accounting experience is a plus. CPA certification or active CPA candidacy is preferred. Experience with NetSuite, OneStream, or other ERP systems is an advantage. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Willingness to travel to the organization's corporate headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or other office locations across North America when required.
