The Downtown Chicago branch of Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Modernization Superintendent to oversee the repair of equipment as well as employee selection, training and safety for all assigned projects. Work Authorization: Given the nature of the position, Otis Elevator does not support sponsorship, e.g. H-1B or TN petitions/applications, for this position. Job Responsibilities : Must have the ability to lead and direct the field operations for a large volume of non-contract repair and hydraulic elevator modernization Modernization sales support, route control, scheduling and quality assurance Maintaining customer quality assurance; emphasis on safety, improving efficiencies, managing the expenditure of labor, materials and performance to estimate Ability to coordinate daily activities with the branch’s’ project manager and work well with general contractors, owner’s agency and developers for various modernization sites Providing technical support Authorizing change orders Drive safety in the workplace Experience/Qualifications: 4+ years of Elevator industry experience is required; field experience is preferred Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must Candidates must have strong computer skills Travel is required within your territory, driver’s license as required for your territory High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience (at least 5 years) What We Offer: 401(k) plan that includes generous company match and a separate automatic retirement contribution Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage for colleagues and their eligible dependents, beginning on their first day of employment Three weeks paid vacation and paid company holidays Paid sick leave - Employee assistance and wellness incentive programs Life insurance and disability coverage Voluntary benefits, such as legal, pet, home, and auto insurance Birth/adoption and parental leave benefits Adoption assistance Tuition reimbursement program Peer recognition and service anniversary awards, as well as spot performance bonus opportunities Apply today to join us and build what’s next!. The salary range for this role is $125,000 - 160,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
