Middle Office Technology Lead - Vice President

GTS Middle Office Technology Lead (VP) Role Overview: State Street is seeking an experienced Technology Leader to lead software engineering and delivery teams supporting strategic business platforms. This role combines technology leadership, delivery management, talent development, and stakeholder engagement to drive successful outcomes across a diverse application portfolio. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading technology teams within the financial services industry and a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale technology initiatives. Role focus is on managing the Dev/QA teams in Middle Office Operations, Transaction Services, Asset Management. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage software engineering teams delivering business-critical applications and technology solutions. * Own end-to-end technology delivery, including planning, execution, quality, risk management, and stakeholder communication. * Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. * Drive delivery excellence across the SDLC, ensuring timely and high-quality execution. * Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align priorities, manage portfolios, and deliver strategic outcomes. * Establish strong governance, operational controls, and risk management practices. * Champion employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. * Contribute to organizational initiatives including technology modernization, process improvement, knowledge management, and talent development. * Collaborate effectively with global teams, ensuring seamless delivery across regions and time zones. Required Qualifications: * 15+ years of technology leadership and software delivery experience, preferably within Financial Services. * Proven experience leading large engineering organizations and managing distributed teams. * Strong background in application development, delivery management, and production support. * Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, complex, and transformational technology programs. * Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. * Experience in the following areas is highly preferred: Middle Office Operations, Transaction Services, Asset Management Preferred Technical Expertise: Experience with a combination of: * Java/J2EE, Python, React, Angular * Oracle, Exadata, Snowflake * Azure, AWS * Jenkins, Azure DevOps * Reporting and BI platforms Education: * Engineering Degree, MCA, Computer Science, or equivalent. * Experience in financial technology platforms and enterprise application delivery is highly desirable.
