Role Definition Performs basic activities to assist in the industrial engineering and process validation activities to improve manufacturing performance through optimized processes, data analysis, layouts, material flow, capacity, productivity, labor utilization, and manufacturing cost and defect free process. The role works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maintenance, and other functions to support practical solutions that improve People, Quality, Velocity and Cost (PQVC) performance Responsibilities • Conduct time studies, work measurement, standardized work, line balancing, and manpower optimization • Optimize and maintain factory, cell, and production-line layouts • Provide industrial engineering support for NPI, facility expansion projects, problem solving and Lean projects • Maintain appropriate cycle-time, labor, capacity, and productivity standards. • Analyze manufacturing constraints and bottlenecks and recommend improvement opportunities. • Support process validation for new products, process and technologies • Maintain & improve appropriate digital manufacturing and analytical tools for work execution. Background/Experience: • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering – Mechanical/Industrial/ Production/related • 3+ years of professional level experience. • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills Skill Descriptors Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Engineering - MFG : Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention. Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them. Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site. This position requires working onsite five days a week. Relocation is available for this position. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
