Role Definition Supports manufacturing processes by performing many technical tasks while ensuring compliance with the prevailing safety and quality procedures and policies. Responsibilities • Executing manufacturing tasks and processes according to defined SOPs and accurately documenting data and related batch records. • Identifying issues related to manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements. • Providing support to manufacturing processes with activities such as validation of processes and equipment, implementing manufacturing best practices, and reporting. • Training new and junior employees on SOP's, safety procedures, policies and standards. Degree Requirement: Preferred to have a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Tier 1 college or University. Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes functional areas in a manufacturing facility. • Describes the roles and responsibilities of manufacturing areas and staff. • Identifies major phases and activities associated with a manufacturing cycle. • Obtains and interprets high-level manufacturing flow and documentation. Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application, or operation. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes problem identification, reporting and escalation procedures. • Explains the underlying concept of using a systematic approach to solve technical problems. • Identifies available resources and support systems for troubleshooting. • Describes common hardware, software, and communication problems; finds ways to resolve issues. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Level Basic Understanding: • Explains characteristics and steps in an effective decision-making process. • Identifies issues and communicates with others when a decision needs to be made. • Names decision makers in own environment and cites examples of past decisions. • Describes types of decisions incumbent may and may not make in own job or function. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes non-verbal behaviors that influence the interpretation of the message. • Cites examples of effective and ineffective communications. • Explains the importance of effective business communication. • Speaks/writes using correct language, mechanics, and gestures. Maintaining Focus: Understanding of the importance of keeping sight of current responsibilities and ability to bring thoughts and tasks to completion. Level Basic Understanding: • Demonstrates a basic understanding of the relationship between maintaining focus and productivity. • Explains the concept of maintaining focus. • Describes various techniques, such as breaking effort into bite-sized chunks, for maintaining focus. • Provides examples of how the ability of individuals to improve their focus has been beneficial. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
